College Level Foreign Language Requirements:

This major requires a 300-level World Language course for graduation and a study abroad experience equal to six hours of college credit. The Department of International Studies reccomends that students complete a World Language through the 211-level (212-level preferred) prior to matriculation

Additional Information From NC State University:

The International Studies major requires 33 hours of major and concentration coursework, a minimum 300-level World Language course, and an approved study abroad experience. This transfer guide is designed to fulfill College and prerequisite coursework for all concentrations. Community college students should consult a transfer advisor prior to beginning the plan outlined in this transfer guide.

Study Abroad: Students are required to complete six (6) credit hours of study abroad coursework. Prior to enrolling in a study abroad program students are required to consult with their International Studies advisor in order to ascertain that the courses they plan on taking overseas may be transferred for credit to the NC State and may count toward the major and/or other requirements.

Major Residency Requirements: Minimum of 18 hours of international studies coursework at NC State.
