Program Admission Notes:

WSSU requires transfer students to have at least 24 hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA. These requirements apply to transfer students earning the AA/AS degree at a NCCC.

Students transferring prior to earning 24 hours can review additional admissions criteria here.

Teacher Licensure Note:Transfer students are admitted to WSSU as Pre-Teaching majors. A secondary application to the Educator Preparation Program (EPP) and the following are also required.

  • Passing Praxis Core Scores (or composite score of 468)
  • 2.7 GPA or higher
  • Earn a grade of C or better in
    • Oral Communication,
    • Written Communication,
    • Quantitative Literacy-Math, and
    • Any other required course in the program area
