For direct admission into the College of Computing & Informatics:

  • 24 transferable credits complete
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Grade of C or higher is required in all computer science courses attempted prior to transferring
  • College level algebra (equivalent to MAT 171 at NC Community Colleges) or higher must be complete with a grade of C or higher prior to transferring

Additional Information From UNC Charlotte:

Additional community college courses equate to ITSC 1212. Those courses include: CSC 121, 133, 134, and CIS 115. These are in addition to CSC 151, and can be found in our Transfer Credit Advisor tool. The preferred sequence of courses is CSC 151 to allow for CSC 251 and 249 completion before transfer.

Only one course equivalent to ITSC 1212 will count as major credit. Any others, if taken, will be elective credit.
