Additional Information From East Carolina University:

The courses suggested on this Transfer Guide may not completely satisfy the requirements to apply for the BSN; remaining classes you may need may not be covered by General Education in the NCCCS degrees.

The courses you should take, if possible, are listed on the BSN Eligibility Worksheet for Prospective Transfer Students. This is updated each academic year; please make sure the admission requirements have not changed every time you register for classes at your NCCCS institution.

Please note:

  • Students who complete both BIO 168 and BIO 169 priror to transferring will receive ECU Credits BIOL 2140, 3142 and BIOL 2150, 2151. BIO 168 alone will transfer as BIOL 2XXX.
  • CHM 151 & 152 may count as the CHEM 1120 and 1130 requirements for the BSN application. However, they will not transfer in as those courses.

If you are not completing an AA or AS and are pursuing an ADN, you should view the RN to BSN Options. The RN to BSN may be completed fully online.

Additional courses are required beside the ones listed under "remaining courses to be taken at university." These will depend on your specialization. Please seek advising assistance from conadvising@ecu.edu.

New updates of ECU's Undergraduate Catalog are published in July each year. For the most up to date information, visit https://registrar.ecu.edu.
