To apply to ECU as a transfer student:

  • Complete, or have in progress, a minimum of 24 transferable college-level courses
  • Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA for all college-level coursework attempted

To declare a major in Biology, BS, students must

  • successfully complete a minimum of 30 semester hours
  • have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • successfully complete the following courses: BIOL 1100, 1101, 1200, 1201, and CHEM 1150, 1151
    • NCCCS equivalents are BIO 111, 112, and CHM 151.
