College Level Foreign Language Requirements:
The College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences requires two levels of foreign language (Language 111 and 112). Students who complete their associate degree are exempt from the language requirement.
Students are expected to demonstrate competency in either Spanish (SPA) or Portuguese (POR) by completing the equivalent of two courses at the 3000-level or above. The program director may waive this requirement for native and heritage speakers following a determination of equivalent foreign language proficiency.
Major-Specific Course Recommendations:
Students are encouraged to build the Community College course recommendations below into the associate degree to best prepare for the intended major.
