Admissions Requirements

  • Transfer applicants must have a cumulative average of a "C" (2.0) GPA or higher.
  • Transfer applicants must have earned 24 or more transferable credit hours.
  • Transfer applicants must not presently be on probation, suspended or expelled from their last or current school of attendance.
  • Some academic programs at NCCU may have admission requirements that exceed those listed above.

Additional Notes:

  1. Math labs are accepted but are not required. If completed, they will count towards electives.
  2. Additional course requirements: HEA 110 and PED 110 to satisfy the University's Health and Wellness requirement.

College Level Foreign Language Requirements:

  1. Transfer students who have earned an AA, AS, or AAS from any accredited US college may instead satisfy the language requirement by completing a "culture" course (Fren 1000, 1020, 3130; Germ 2010, 2104 or Span 1000, 1020, 2010, 2020, 2150.
  2. If transferring prior to completion of the AA, AS, or AAS 2 semesters of foreign language at the college level is required.
  3. Foreign Language labs are accepted but are not required. If completed they will count towards electives.

  1. All candidates for the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree are required to satisfactorily complete the Core Business Requirements with a minimum grade point average of 2.0 and with no more than two courses with a grade of “D."
