Program Admission Notes:

NC State Undergraduate Admissions employs a holistic approach in reviewing transfer students’ applications and considers a range of accomplishments and qualifications. Recommended courses and GPA are major critical path courses or departmental recommendations and are not minimum requirements for transfer admissions.

  • 2.5 and above GPA for agriculture programs (Preference given to students with a 3.0 and above GPA. )
  • English Composition I & II equal to NC State’s ENG 101 (ENG 111 + 112= ENG 101 and ENG 1**)
  • College-level pre-calculus or higher math course
  • 1 semester of General Biology or General Chemistry with a lab (preference is given to students with both courses)

Additional Information From NC State University:

The Production Systems and Entrepreneurship concentration in Horticultural Science is a menu-driven concentration that allows students to direct their education in either ornamental or edible plant production.

Major requires an internship or teaching/research experience. Please consult the Department of Horticultural Science website for more information.
