Additional Information From Appalachian State University:

A Biology (4sh) and either a Physics or Chemistry (4sh) is required for graduate school admissions

If Chemistry was not taken at the community college, students should take PHY 1812 at App State.

Minimum CSD Admission Requirements:

  • 30 completed semester hours
  • Completion of RC 1000
  • Completion of or currently enrolled in UCO 1200
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 (and must be maintained through graduation)
  • Completion of prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of "B" or better: CSD 2259 & CSD 2260
  • All remaining courses in the major required a grade of C/2.0 or better
  • Students may repeat a CSD course only once. Students may repeat only two CSD courses throughout the program.
  • A signed Professional Dispositions, Behaviors & Essential Functions agreement form

Students should apply to graduate school during their second to last semester in the CSD undergraduate program
