Transfer Guide for Associate in Arts

2024-2025

Concentration(s): Ceramics
Delivery Method: On-Campus

Program Admission Notes:

Even with the completion of an AA or AS, most transfer students spend 3-4 years completing their Art, BFA at ECU based on portfolio and other requirements. Reverse Transfer is highly recommended.

Acceptance into a concentration is by portfolio review.
  • Entrance is competitive and space may be limited.
  • Students not accepted into their preferred area of concentration should be prepared to seek alternative areas of concentration and/or degree programs.
  • Students should speak with faculty in their desired concentration to receive detailed instructions regarding the portfolio review process and requirements.

Students apply to concentrations after successfully completing the following course:

The School of Art & Design suggests the completion of an Associate in Fine Arts vs. an AA. However, be advised completion of an AFA does not waive General Education requirements.
