College Level Foreign Language Requirements:
The College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences requires two levels of foreign language (Language 111 and 112). Students who complete their associate degree are exempt from the language requirement.
Students with a Major in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies must complete either a 200 level course in a foreign language that uses the Latin alphabet or a 112 level course in a language that is not written in the Latin alphabet. Intermediate American Sign Language is also accepted.
Major-Specific Course Recommendations:
Students are encouraged to build the Community College course recommendations below into the associate degree to best prepare for the intended major.
