The online B.A. in Sociology major is designed for learners who:

  • Earned college credit before coming to UNC Charlotte
  • Work full or part-time or has responsibilities caring for others
  • Delayed entering college after high school for work, travel, or military service
  • Prefer flexibility in completing a college degree.

Students admitted to the online Sociology major and the online pre-Sociology major qualify for distance education tuition and fees for all courses and are considered distance education (DE) students.

College Level Foreign Language Requirements:

The College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences requires two levels of foreign language (Language 111 and 112). Students who complete their associate degree are exempt from the language requirement.
