Admission to UNC Charlotte:

  • 24 transferable credit hours
  • 2.0 cumulative college GPA
  • Must be in good academic standing at most recently attended institution

Admission to Art is competitive and requires an additional application with digital portfolio submission.

Upon gaining general admission to the university, students will be able to complete the Art application.

Art only allows admission starting in the fall semester- transfer students should plan to apply the Fall prior to transferring

College Level Foreign Language Requirements:

Students in this major are required to demonstrate proficiency in the language of their choice through the 111 (1201) level.  Proficiency can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:

  • Completing the language 111 course at their community college, or UNC Charlotte
  • Completing three years of the same foreign language in high school through level three
  • Achieving a satisfactory score on the foreign languages placement test (in Spanish, French, or German)
