The College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences requires two levels of foreign language (Language 111 and 112). Students who complete their associate degree are exempt from the language requirement.
The B.A. in Spanish consists of 30 credit hours of language and content courses at the 2000 level or above, plus a one-credit hour Senior Seminar. Students with a Major in Spanish are strongly encouraged to take courses in another language at least through the Intermediate level.
Students are encouraged to build the North Carolina Community College (NCCC) course recommendations below into the associate degree to best prepare for the intended university and major.
