Program Admission Notes:

To apply to FSU as a transfer student:

  • Graduated from high school or obtained a GED/Adult Diploma
  • Have at least 24 transferable credits with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA

 

Students must meet the following requirements to declare Mathematics as a major:

  • A student must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours with a minimum grade point average required by the program.
  • The mathematics major must complete a departmental comprehensive examination in the senior year. Any student enrolled in a CSC or MATH course who does not meet the prerequisites for that course will be dropped.

Major Requirements:

  • A student must pass prerequisite courses with a grade of C or higher before enrolling in subsequent courses.
  • The mathematics major must complete a departmental comprehensive examination in the senior year.
