Additional Information From Winston-Salem State University:

The exercise science program provides students the opportunity to take one area of the discipline and to go more in depth by taking additional courses.  Based on the expertise of the faculty the program offers three areas of depth or concentration.  Each scholar will select one area from among exercise physiology; fitness and performance; and sports medicine.

Students hoping to enter a Physical Therapy graduate program should look at the websites for prerequisite information regarding those specific requirements.  It is common for 8 credits of chemistry and 8 credits of physics to be required.  It is helpful to get a "jump" on these courses by starting the blocks while completing the associates degree.
