CNS Operations Manual
The UNC CNS Operations Manual is intended to be a guide for faculty, staff, and administrators at UNC System institutions involved in the operation and maintenance of the UNC CNS. The operations manual can be found here.
Request CNS Additions and Changes
The Common Numbering System Update Form must be completed for proposed additions and changes (e.g., course description, course title, course number, course prefix, course content, credit hours) to the UNC CNS Course List. Submissions for additions and changes must be complete and sent to the UNC System Office Division of Academic Affairs by March 30th of each year, to allow time for review prior to inclusion in the UNC CNS Course List. Request CNS Deletions and Exemptions
The Common Numbering System Exemption/Deletion Form must be completed for proposed deletions and exemptions to the UNC CNS Course List. Submissions for exemptions and deletions must be completed and emailed to the UNC System Office Division of Academic Affairs at unccns@northcarolina.edu by May 31st of each year.
